Here is a list of some questions we get asked a lot.
Is Bebop vegan or plant-based?
Bebop is plant-based, and our Standard (long-term) flavors meet The Vegan Trademark standards of The Vegan Society.
Why did Bebop stop making dairy based ice cream?
Even though intially we started with a cream-less dairy base that was healthier. After developing our plant-based base, and a lot of testing and tasting, we decided plant-based was the way forward for us, so we pivoted.
What is the best way to enjoy (eat) Bebop?
Even though it’s scoop-ready right out of the fridge, please eat when you can squeeze the cup slightly on both sides for the best creamy texture. If you can’t finish the cup in one go, please add a layer of plastic wrap between the cup and lid for better sealing, and don’t wait too long to finish for texture sake.
Why are there ice crystals in my frozen dessert?
Temperature control is such a crucial aspect of frozen desserts, when the temperature fluctuates (rise and then frozen again), ice crystals can start to form. Even though they are in top form when they leave our warehouses, temperature can fluctuate in the store, or on the way home from the store. Please contact us if the ice crystal has affected the overall quality, so we can help you troubleshoot.
How come Bebop tastes so much like dairy ice cream?
You are not the only one to have said this, in fact, a lot of people after having tried it, have asked us “are you really sure you don’t use any dairy?” A food company boss even asked if our r&d team had been abducted by aliens. All I can say is that it took us a long time to get it here, we are also a little surprised it is where it is, but rest assured, we are continually working to push it forward, after all, that is the spirit of Bebop!
Why is the calorie of Bebop lower than other ice cream on the market?
It’s because of the plant-based ingredients that we use, and the lower amount of sugar and oil, our whole approach is to still be mindful of the impact of our product on your diet, a we try to satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time.
Can I use Bebop in my restaurant or cafe?
Yes, we not only have food service-sized products, there are also flavors designed for food services (to use a-la-mode combination with existing desserts), please drop us a message on the Contact page with your contact information, and one of our team members will get back to you with more details.
What is your favorite Bebop flavor?
Ha, that is a really difficult question and could be different for everyone on the team. Actually, for some of us, the answer could change with different seasons or moods. We love how flavors can bring about some very passionate discussions.
Where is Bebop produced?
Bebop is produced by our dedicated team in our own food factory plant located in the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agricultural Technology Park in Pingtung.
