The first Tainan Jazz Festival was held on December 15th to 18th of 2022, started by the founders of Bebop who wanted to bring live jazz to the brand’s home city, honor the musicians who are moving jazz forward. Inviting some of Taiwan’s most celebrated jazz musician to perform at historic monument Wu Gardens in the heart of Tainan city. The event was organized (without government grant or funding) by Bebop along with financial supporting partners Ian Macelod Distillers and Chenmei Social Enterprise.
The first two evenings of banquet gala features live performances by YenTing Lo and Shen-Yu Su along with banquet dinner and cocktails created by award wining Han-Jia bistro in Tainan. The last two days of the festival feature Jazz market with live performances by local and emerging jazz artists.
